Support the AYA by filling the basket for silent auction!

Dal-worth will be donating a movie-themed basket to the AYA silent auction at Youth Worlds. We are asking members to help fill the basket at the May Show by bringing one item or small donation so we can fill the basket. Ideas include popcorn and flavoring, popcorn containers, other movie munchies, dvds (bonus points for kid-friendy, horse-themed movies), theater gift cards, 3-D glasses, etc. Help support our youth!

Dal-Worth Members and Supporters Featured on Consecutive Appaloosa Journals

President of the Texas Appaloosa Horse Club and Dal-Worth member Shelley Drury and her horse, Iza Stylish Jet (aka “Cracker”) were featured on the cover of the January Appaloosa Journal.  Shelley and Cracker brought home World Championships in Non-Pro Walk-Trot Trail and Horsemanship. Lisa Ligon and Cracker also brought home top tens in Senior Trail, Senior Western Riding, and Performance Halter Geldings. Lisa and Cracker also received year end awards including Reserve in Senior Trail and top ten in Green Hunter Under Saddle.

Spot and Fallon Taylor were featured in articles and on the covers of the December issue of the Appaloosa Journal and the December issue of Horse & Rider.  Spot, who was bred by Dal-Worth member Jamie Phillips, is by Miracle Machine owned by LJ Appaloosas whose founders Larry York and Joe Allen have been long-time Dal-Worth supporters.  He is out of a JC mare previously owned by Dal-Worth supporter Neva Phillips and currently owned by Dal-Worth members Kent and Lisa Steffel.

The Dal-Worth club will have a booth in the John Justin Arena of the Will Rogers complex at the upcoming Horse-O-Rama Show March 10-12.  Club members will be present to promote both our local and national clubs.  If you are interested in volunteering an hour or two of time, please email Carla at

2017 Dal-Worth Survey

The Dal-Worth club recently held a membership meeting where it was determined that more feedback was needed from members regarding shows, volunteering, and awards.  A survey was created to solicit this feedback from both members and non-members (who are considered potential members.)  Your participation in this brief survey will help the Dal-Worth board and club officers better understand your needs and concerns.  We want our members to have a strong, clear voice in how the club is run and the directions we hope to take in the future.  We will take your responses very seriously and post the results at the completion of the survey.

This survey has been designed to provide anonymous answers.  It is intended to be a platform for honest and constructive feedback, and is not to be used as criticism towards individuals.  The survey will be open through Sunday, February 12th.  Thank you in advance for your participation and happy surveying!  Please share!
